Naveed Mohammed Desert safari adventures in India are fun and exciting experiences

India always impressed me; even after more than ten visits to this incredible country, each time I go there, I discover more attractions and return with wonderful memories.

This visit was a really fun and exciting experience in the Jaisalmer desert northwest of India in Rajasthan State, the land of the king.

Close to the Golden triangle of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur where the past meets the present, you can enjoy visiting the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid, Qutu… Continue

Naveed Mohammed Japan to inaugurate its 98th airport this week

Japan will inaugurate its 98th airport this week when Ibaraki Airport, northeast of Tokyo, opens Thursday. One small hitch: It offers only a single flight a day to Seoul.

The event underlines the power of pork-barrel politics in Japan. Ibaraki Airport, which cost 22 billion yen (about $220 million) to build, has become a symbol of the nation's decades of profligate spending on useless public-works projects that dot the country. The airport itself is expected to incur a loss of 20 mill… Continue

The plane suffered extensive damage to the

Jonathan Haas Scott Brown campaigns for McCain in Arizona

PHOENIX – Facing the toughest re-election battle of his career, John McCain is bringing in the Republican Party's newest rising star in a bid to shore up support among conservative primary voters. Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown is making his first campaign trip as senator. His visit to Arizona Friday will be a first test of his popularity among Republican activists after he broke with the GOP leadership to side with Democrats in supporting a jobs bill. Naveed Mohammed ‘Difficult’ year sees Lufthansa slip to loss

Deutsche Lufthansa AG slipped to a €112 million (£100 million) loss in 2009, as the global airline industry struggled to cut capacity in the face of falling demand.

The loss at the Cologne-based company compared with a net profit of €542 million (£490 million) for the financial year 2008.

MIAMI – A killer whale that dragged a trainer to her death eluded SeaWorld workers who furiously unfurled nets while it swam pool-to-pool during the attack last week, according to witness statements released Monday. After minutes of frenzied work to save Dawn Brancheau, the whale was finally corralled but still refused to unclench its teeth, according to the investigative reports released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Investigators have said before that she died from multiple traumatic… Continue

Jonathan Haas Chile was ready for quake, Haiti wasn't

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – The earthquake in Chile was far stronger than the one that struck Haiti last month — yet the death toll in this Caribbean nation is magnitudes higher. The reasons are simple. Chile is wealthier and infinitely better prepared, with strict building codes, robust emergency response and a long history of handling seismic catastrophes. No living Haitian had experienced a quake at home when the Jan. 12 disaster crumbled their poorly constructed buildings. And Chile was relat… Continue
